Even massive amounts of drugs couldn't keep McNair in the game. But even his injuries couldn't keep him out of it. Playing
with a broken rib, he quickly added a torn achilles, followed by a broken wrist... and still managed to throw for 350 yds
and 2 TDs. Some might blame his 3 INT, 2 returned for TDs, on his hurtin- though Tritt wouldn't be one of those- but in the
end, you only have to look at the score to see that he was all that kept the Titans hopeful. It was star vs star... and once
McNnair finally was carried off the field with another broken rib, there was no one to counter Portis's insane play.
Not only did Portis bookend halftime with a pair of kickoff returns for TD's, but he managed to completely take over the
game. Volek could only cry as the Titans were ground down under his cleats. Portis might have set the record in playoff rushing
TD's, but Wycheck managed to guess which of the 3 balls he saw was the real one and set a receiving record with 20+ on the
day. It was a classic shootout, and the Broncos once again proved their verstality- their top-ranked D was shredded, but that
barely fazed them as they dominated the offensive numbers.
